accidentally stepped on foot after bunion surgery

Everyone says theyll follow up and never do. not sure if it's related. So today I walked with my boot and elevated heels pretty much all day. I see my doc on Monday and believe he will let me take one of the two heel lifts out of the boot then. Had my surgery on 8/5 for a full rupture on day four I did exactly what Greg did last night I did exactly what Neil did too! Initially there was an incredible amount of pain, took off the boot and the wrap to ensure I didnt tear the stitches open. Felt good!m. Our number one complication is irritation from the retained hardware or screw. I fould that keeping the leg elevated and using ice periodically also really helped keep the swelling down over the first several weeks. Because I accidentally landed on my foot getting out of bed without my boot it cause the gap and now Im schedule for another surgery. it seems like, from my read through of the comments above, the main people that thad re-rupture were ones who fell getting out of the shower or bed and didnt have any type of protection. Said no gaps in tendon and could see calf movement when moving foot into dorsiflexion so repair still intact. Please help.
